The universe is under no obligation to make sense to you.
I heard these words from Neil deGrasse Tyson when he said it on TV. I was just wondering, if he can say that, and be accepted, then why people have to find a reason for God or why do we insist that God should make sense to us? If the creation has the excuse from its obligation to make sense to us, what more with its Creator?
If we consider the universe as infinitely huge and accept the fact that we couldn’t fully comprehend it, then why are we expecting to understand its Creator, who is logically mightier than its creation?
In fact, God makes more sense than anything else. His words and teachings are still sensible after thousands of years. His guidance are applicable to ancient man and still applicable in our modern lives. This is the proof that He’s a living God.
And if we are continuing to study the mystery of the universe, why can’t we do the same with God and His words? Because it is more beneficial for us to study His words than the universe. In the universe, we made our theory and conclusion about our origin and our future. But God already told us these things in details.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m a big fan of Neil deGrasse Tyson. I also like Physics. But I’m just wondering why can he get away with that statement while non-believers treat Christians as lunatics because we believe into something that doesn’t make sense to them?
